A closer look at the wedding bands and proposal ring. This is none other than Sera who is holding on to her uniquely designed rings. The wedding band can be interlocked into the proposal ring for another look. She suggested the interlocking effect and we came up with the designs.

Simply love Sera and Sandy: 1 lovely couple who finally said I do on the 9.10.11. What an easy date to remember but it is a shame that I didnt make it cos my kids were down with fever. Nevertheless, I loved working and knowing these couple alot and hence we have became good friends.

These 3 rings: 1 proposal and 2 weddings bands are customised to their very liking of having the symbol "S" which signifies very much their love for each other as the "S" are each other's initial.
Well, the love stories had began and we are all anticipating the junior "S"s in the life some time down the road. All the best!

A curvy and unique proposal ring! Will she say "Yes"?

D came to me one day with a 0.71Ct, E color, VS1 brilliant diamond that came with a GIA certification.

It looks clean & clear and larger than its carat size. He added that he wanted a curvy design and here it is! A simple, elegant and classic design that will suit his beautiful and outgoing bride.

White Jade in rose gold! Brillant combination.

One day, a lady by the name of JB contacted me via email and we arranged to meet. She is a superb lady and we hit it off right from the start. I can see from her collection that she is a jade lover. So she told me to come up with a design for her white jade. However after a few days, she told me that she still like the rope design and asked me to duplicate
the same setting for her.

Here is the finished product and I have made another friend in JB cos we both are lovers of jewelleries.

The beauty of black and gold

A customer passed me her Burmese black jade and asked for a unique design. And hence birthed forth this beautiful gem in its sophiscated design. Love it!

The workmanship is excellent and you are able to see the fine detailing on each band strips.

Time to know your metals well

Gold has been the inspiration for jewellery since the beginning of time. It's coveted for its gleaming beauty and strong yet malleable nature. Gold will not rust, corrode or tarnish.

Gold is measured in karats, abbreviated as the letter "K" and preceded by a number. 100% pure gold is 24K. However, in its pure form, gold is too soft to be used in jewellery. In order to give it resilience to hold up to everyday wear, gold is alloyed with other metals.

Gold is Available in a Variety of Different Karats

22 karat (91.7% gold)
While beautiful, it is really too soft for use in jewellery as the gold would literally bend out of shape. You will often see antique 22k gold jewellery in museums.

18 karat (75% gold)
Excellent for use in fine jewellery with a rich, deep color. 18K gold is a little softer than 14K and will usually wear a little more, giving it a soft patina.

14 karat (58.3% gold)
Great for use in traditional jewellery. This is a hard, resilient metal that will maintain much of its original look (polish and detail) for many years.

12 karat (50% gold)
We do not use nor recommend below 14k as the color is not an attractive, rich hue at this percentage.

10 karat (41.7% gold)
Although this is the minimum legal karatage allowed to be called gold in the US, we do not use nor recommend it for jewellery.

Ping Ping & Pee Lay's Wedding

After two months of searching, we were both elated when finally we found a pair of wedding bands at one of the jewelry shop in Raffles City, which we thought was 'the ring'! Happy as we were, we were disappointed to be informed by the sales person that the width of the groom's ring cannot be increased, otherwise there would be customization charges, thereby would be exorbitant. Through a friend's recommendation, we were introduced to Glen'n'Gems. After the first discussion, we were assured and confident that Glen'n'Gems is able to provide us with good service, and design our wedding bands as per the design at the jewelry shop at Raffles City. To our delight, we were able to increase the width of the groom's ring according to our requirements, and all in, the cost of the wedding bands was much lower than what we would expect from a customized pair. We only expected the wedding bands to be ready for collection one month from order, and hence we did not plan to include them in our wedding photo-shoots. To our surprise, our wedding bands were ready two weeks from order with Glen'n'Gems, and we were able to wear them during our wedding photo-taking session! The design of our wedding bands is almost a complete replica of the design at the shop in Raffles City, and the quality of our wedding bands is significantly higher than those at the shop.
